In 2026, James Carey was selected by the U.S. Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe and World Learning to lead a series of theatre and filmmaking workshops in Zimbabwe. During the residency, he presented professional seminars for actors, directors, and filmmakers while directing a full theatrical production at Reps Theatre in Harare.
The residency brought together artists, educators, and cultural leaders through teaching, rehearsal, and creative collaboration, while opening the door to future international partnerships. The work received national media attention and reinforced Carey's commitment to developing artists and connecting cultures through the performing arts.

The expected battle between good and evil never happens—because Owlman simply doesn't need to do anything.
Complete with all the comic-book tropes about superheroes and villains. A funny, tongue-in-cheek comic-book parody of Waiting for Godot.
A comic-book comedy parody short about the daily workdays of the hired henchmen who work for Dr. Misfortune, in his ill-fated attempts to catch and kill superhero, Owlman. Clocking in and out, health insurance, dental care, overtime, penalties for not killing the sidekick.
